Word-less Wednesday

Also picture-less. 🙂

Sitting on the train going home and I realize I have no post for today, nor even the vaguest topic for one. The weekly post ideas have been coming less frequently as of late (yea, I know some of you post multiple times a week) and we’ve come to this, a week where I am writing about not writing.

I think a large part of it is the running program. As the miles have increased, it’s taken my focus and energy to stay on track. It also means, the runs are extending later into the night (I already get up at 5:40 normally, not getting up at 3:30 to run, plus I tend to stay up a bit post-run) which means I’m not getting enough sleep either. Combine that with some upticks at work, some personal busy-ness and yep, free energy and time necessary for creativity are in short supply.

I worry about switching to the Hal Higdon program in July for the second round of training, since that actually adds a night of exercise (for cross-training). While the mileage will come down initially by a lot, by September it will be back up to current levels plus the cross-training.

Thankfully, in two weeks I’ve got the topic of topics – recapping the first 52 weeks! (Not of blogging, but of trying to lose a pound a week).

Til next week!

  1. I did a half marathon earlier in the year and even the training for that took up way more time than I expected. It sounds like you’re doing really well. Best wishes for the rest of the training!

  2. I am only about 5 months into my weight loss and I already had a few blogger’s block but then it passes and new ideas comes. It’s alright to leave your blog a few days when your life gets busier 🙂

    • yea but I’m lazy already. Most of my posts are mechanical – Wednesdays is the only ones that are free form. But I hope the blockage ends!
