T-3/T-28 – Final Approach
Busy run week with 5/8/5/18. Fivers on the treadmill continue to be a struggle mentally rather than physically. Only one more week of those.
On Wednesday’s mid-range run, experienced something new this training round – feeling warm. Almost too warm. It had rained heavily earlier (drenching me on the way home from work) and was somewhat humid. Was considering taking off my over-shirt but nature helped out at the 5 mile mark and started pouring again (and drenching me again).
Sunday’s long run (the last before the big day!) was a warmer one too. This time I did about 2/3 of the run before the wind kicked up a bit making a touch too chilly. Time wise I continue to be a touch slower than last time around.
