Full on taper this week, glad too because work was a bear.  Bit worried about stamina and time, have been feeling sore and stiff for these shorter runs.  Hard to believe we’re back to being one week away!

Ugh, lousy week.  Not as bad as the scale says, that’s more crazy marathon days at work and not drinking enough, but still deservedly up.  Work craziness plus taper time do not mix since I’m not burning a lot of calories either.  The good news is this was hopefully last week of the crazy.  Not that next week with marathon isn’t!  But we can get back to something approaching sustainable after that.

Now off to the road!  Final Sunday run before the marathon!

T-3: Taper Week 1

Last of the 5, 8, 5 mid-weeks.  Getting off the treadmill for the last 5 miler on there was a huge relief.  Knowing my mid-week 8 miler was the last long mid-weeker was great too.  The run on Sunday for a blessedly short 9 miles was fantastic.
